My intent is to provide commonly required links.
AVG, Spybot, Malwarebytes and CCleaner
are the programs I use for keeping my system safe and clean. It is recommended to use at least one Antivirus program and two Spyware programs.
If you are unable to update the virus definitions through the AVG program itself, you can download the update and then choose TOOLS and UPDATE FROM DIRECTORY.
The firewall I use with Windows XP is Sygate.
Unfortunately this program is not compatible with Vista or Windows 7. I have not yet found a free Firewall program to recommend for these versions.
